Application of the product to the nasal mucosa results in partial absorption of its active ingredient into the systemic bloodstream. The volume of the product absorbed in this way can reach up to 20%. At the same time, this does not cause local effects and resorptive toxic effects. There is no accumulation of oxoline in the body. Excretion is carried out mainly by the kidneys over 24 hours. The nasal form of the product is intended for intranasal application (to the nasal mucosa), from which the ointment is indicated for the treatment of viral rhinitis and the prevention of influenza.
